Moving to LaGrange (Warm Springs: house, neighborhood, schools)

My family will be moving to LaGrange in a couple of weeks. Can anyone give us some tips on LaGrange? We have a 12 y.o. son and a 6 y.o. son. We are pleased with what we know about the schools and have found a great house in a small neighborhood.

I worked in LaGrange for about 2 years. I can tell you that, although the hospital is smallish, it has a great medical staff. The Callaway family put a lot of money into the hospital and into getting great doctors into the town.

Speaking of the Callaways......run get your family an annual pass to Callaway Gardens. Another place that would make a fun day trip is Warm Springs. You MUST go eat at the Bulloch House!!!! YUM!!!!!

You'll also be close to Roosevelt State Park. It's the largest state park in GA and one of our favorites.

Thanks! My husband's job gives us a year long pass to Callaway. I am a Master Gardener and can't wait to visit. You are the second person that has insisted on us going to Bulloch House. It is on my list. We are going this weekend to Callaway to see the Water skiing Masters. Thanks! sjt
