Being from Florida and looking at Georiga for retirement,Is their any 55+ communities in North Georgia Mountains  |

Seasons at Laurel Canyon in Canton (Cherokee County). Gorgeous views and a beautiful, gated community with lots to do. Only 45 minutes from Downtown Atlanta.
Of course, it's brand new...just starting to sell...so I hope you're not in a hurry.

Thanks I was trying too get further North of Atlanta, an no rush I have about a year before commitment. |

There is a new Sun City in Braselton, GA. Very nice area
The town of Dahlonega is beginning to construct one also. Dahlonega is on my retirement plan in 10 years. Love it!!!!

You seem to have a wealth of knowledge regarding Georgia areas. What do you know of Villa Rica and/or Mirror Lake and Douglas County, in general? I am attracted to the proximity of this location in regards to other parts of Georgia and other States. I am seriously looking to buy property there. Don't have any school-aged children. Please give me your take. Thanks in advance.

Martinez, 55+ community
Has anyone been or know anything about Jensen's Wymberly 55+ community in Martinez, GA? I'll be out to visit next year, but if you're somewhat familiar with Martinez, or the nearby area (Evans), please let me know what you think.

It's not a 55 + but it has one level homes. Longleaf at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain. We toured the models and were impressed. Check out the web site for Callaway Gardens and the link to residential.
