End of July I am coming up with my son and will need a hotel for 3 days. Can anyone give me some hotels to look into? I live in KC and there is a great wolf lodge here (hotel with waterpark), is there anything like that around the area? If not can anyone give me some kid friendly hotels? Thanks for the help.

Double JJ Resort in Rothbury is only about 45 minutes away, near the lakeshore:

There's also a decent amusement park nearby, Michigan's Adventure Park.

I'm going to go with Magellan's advice a little bit, but also modify it some.

I am going to recommend staying in Muskegon, just go on hotels.com and grab a hotel from there. A hotel is basically going to be a hotel, but if you are in Muskeon, you will be right at Hoffmaster State Park which has a nice beach you can take the kids to, and also be right at Michigan's Adventure which has both an Amusement Park and a full water park. Both are very big and will undoubtfully be a great time for you and your kids.

It is run by cedar pointe and is by no means a low class park
