Holland, Michigan - Fishing Spots?
I'm new to the area and would like information on fishing spots near Holland. I'm not equipped to go on the big lake, I'm looking for smaller public lakes for shore fishing and maybe some canoe fishing later in the summer. I've heard of Lamar Lake in Wyoming, MI but it's about 35 minutes away, looking for something a little closer to home. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Lake macatawa might be a good spot it connects to lake Michigan at the holland state park

I live in Holland MI and want to fish for Northern Pike. I am willing to drive two and a half or three hours from Holland MI. I need a place to put a pontoon in. Lake Mac is out of the question, prefer cleaner water. (No offense intended to my Lake Mac friends!)
