Hello all,
I am looking for some information on the private schools here in Grand Rapids. Does anyone know what are the best schools like the top 3 or top 5 with the highest ratings etc. I am looking for private schools only.

Thanks a lot.

What type of private school are you looking for? Religious, secular, etc...? We also have a number of decent charter schools here... can you give us more guidance on what you want from the school?

I am looking for an institute that provides excellent education and emphasizes on individual attention and overall some place that is truly one of the best. I am not really concerned about religious affiliations etc just great education and environment.

Thanks

I'd call GR Christian, Catholic Central, and West Catholic roughly equal in terms of ratings, and none of them are appreciably better than East Grand Rapids HS or City HS would be.

I'll third what Beachmouse said. Not sure where you are coming from, but there are a lot of really GREAT public schools in MI that more than hold their own against private schools, and some that are better than the private options in their area.

If you're willing to look into the suburbs I'd also suggest GR South Christian High School. That's where I graduated from in 2004. I went on to Grand Valley and felt extremely fortunate and ahead of my peers in terms of education and good study habits.
