This morning broke a globe for a hanging light fixture and was wondering if there was a place that sells odds and ends parts like this? It's the kind that have a lip at the top and thumb screws that tighten up against it.

I know that Pitsch, one of the local demolition companies, has a store with the kind of items that you are looking for. Measure the diameter of the globe's opening and give them a call.

Right, what I meant was the openings with the lips which fit the fixture were standardized diameters, I don't remember the exact measurements since it's been several years, but the small globe openings were around 3 1/2" and the larger were around 9" along with some other miscellaneous sizes. Those globes come in many styles at Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards.
I'll check next time I'm there, but these are standard items which always need replacement or upgrading for looks etc. In the meantime you might measure the opening size you need.
