It's pretty good north of Knapp. Sketchy south though a couple of my favorite watering holes are there ... Sazerac (now known as Rezevoir), Graydons, and Red Jet. Nicest area is directly east of Riverside Park. Modest but well kept homes generally east of Plainfield on streets like Aberdeen and Beechwood. Many are 1 bathroom from the 40's and 50's, some earlier. Having the park nearby is a huge benefit. Street view the area.

Just saw a Press article about gangbangers in the area of Sweet and Diamond with rival gang, the Bemis Boys, on the east side. It's the Gregory Woods (who lived on Neland SE) murder story. Lots of gang activity in these areas?

Yes, stay away from most areas directly south of Wealthy for a few miles and a few miles east of Division.

Crimemapping.com is good, so is a google search of 'mlive shooting Southeast Grand Rapids.'

I suggest you go back and re-read many of the posts about relocation. You'll see many people, including me, have suggested many areas other than Heritage Hill (it's not plural) and Eastown.

I guess my point is, and I'm not sure how to say this any other way, either do that and stop trolling threads, or leave the forum. Make sense? I don't want to come back on here tomorrow morning and find you bitching about people's recommendations any longer.

Not certain but I believe there's some larger, lower income apartment complexes in the area that tend to correlate with gang activity so that would make sense. Compared to other places the gang activity here isn't that much.

OP and others ... guess I've been way off base trying to provide information as best as I can. My apologies.
