Magellan, that sounds great, I'm definitely interested in a walkable area. And all of the bike paths in the area are awesome! I miss that. We live in a high desert area now, it's too hilly for the kids (or me pulling the little ones in a trailer) so we don't take many bike rides here.

Does anyone have a real estate agent you'd recommend? It'll be at least spring before we are seriously looking, but I'm a planner.

Oh, another question...is kindergarten full or half day in the area? I will have one starting K next year. And how about preschools in the area? My youngest will be 3 when we move and I'd love to find a program for him so I have a few hours to myself during the week.
I would have to agree with everyone that responded that says you shouldn't worry about not fitting in or snootiness. Grand Haven is a great town for a family and like you said, so great school options. Again, look at surrounding areas as well like Spring Lake.

If you are looking for a Realtor check out BlueWest Properties - Better Real Estate for a Better Community they are very community based and can probably find a great fit for your family. Also, West Michigan Custom Home Builder | David C. Bos Homes is a builder that has a few communities around the area that are probably in your price range and in some nice school districts around the area.
