The recently completed Third Coast apartments in Midtown village, next to the Grand and Benson projects. Not a fan favorite of local architecture enthusiasts.

The renovation of the Kingsley building. Adding windows and balconies to the upper floors for apartments

The photo here doesn't show the true scope of this project. Shown is the office building portion. Behind it are rows of apartments lining the streets behind it giving the neighborhood a completely different look.

Ground is breaking next week on the Warner Tower and Hyatt Place Hotel.

They are currently assembling the tower crane for the Warner tower and Hyatt Place. This brings our total to 3 at the moment. They need to get cracking on the Hinman tower quickly so we can have 4

This is really cool, up in the tower crane building 601 Bond (apartments) just North of downtown.

Another hurdle cleared for the big development anchored by a movie theater downtown. Construction start targeted for June of 2018.

Keeler Flats - Photo Gallery - MLive.com

The Keeler Building received a national historic registration paving the way for the development plans. They are described as low income, but I don't know if that means section 8 or LIHTC. I'm hoping the latter, LIHTC requirements still allow for the property owner/manager to have a level of discretion in who lives in the buildings.

They're trying for MSHDA LIHTC. They've already been shot down once.

Grand Rapids library parking lot eyed for new downtown ramp | MLive.com

The city is looking to add a parking ramp/mixed use development on the library parking lot. May help alleviate some of the parking crunch that's been going on.
