Any suggestions or resources for this urbanite? I'm a single white-collar professional soon to relocate who looks forward to the convenience and attractions that downtown offers.

Price range? I've heard many of the apartments downtown have waiting lists. You might try Plaza Towers, which is one of the older "new" ones but still pretty nice.

Or try these:

The Boardwalk
American Seating Park
Hopson Flats
Or you might find a condo for rent on grar.com or rentgr.com

Those are some interesting places, good to see old buildings rehab'd for such use. Some of those seem especially geared to students.

I'm having some luck through craigslist also.

craigslist is a good source. But yeah, some of those I mentioned might not be to your liking. If you can find a condo to rent in Monroe Terrace, Landmark Lofts, or Tannery Row, those all have that exposed brick feel but with a little more mature neighbors.
