Did anyone else go?

It was awesome. Not because they're more spectacular, but because the crowds were so well-behaved... such civility, politeness and respect for each other, I was pleasantly surprised by.

I think GR does a great job at events like this.
I didn't attend the fireworks, but have spent time at Festival, and the Local First Street Party. Both events were marked (for me) by absolutely nothing going wrong that I could see.

We have gone to Arts, Beats and Eats in Pontiac and City Fest in Detroit and had similar experiences.

Overall, I think people are generally well-behaved at events like these.
