Default Loft Leases in Grand Rapids

I'll be relocating to Grand Rapids relatively soon for a new job. I'm 26 years old and interested in leasing a loft. I've been searching the internet for information on pricing, size, etc. but with little success. I thought this might be a good forum possibly track down some information about availability, cost, location, etc. I'll be able to afford about $1000 per month, should I be able to find something relatively decent at this price? Any insight anyone may have is greatly appreciated.

I know there are condos available for rent at Union Square in that price range. I guess you could call them "lofts" (it's an old school with exposed beams, high ceilings, brick walls), although the term lofts gets used to describe any kind of multi-family development these days. I think there is an apartment rental company called Lighthouse Property Management that may have several for lease, but I'm not certain. The Globe Apts downtown are also a factory conversion, but I thought I heard they are on a waiting list.

Or maybe do a google search for "apartments for rent downtown Grand Rapids".
