Default Considering renting my Byron Center home

We are moving out of house. My dad is a landlord so we have access to free management of our property. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this and if we can expect people to want to rent it? The rent payment would likely be $1600-1700/month. It's a 2400 sq. ft. 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath house in Byron Center. It's only 8 years old and has nice yard space. I know the market increases for renters during difficult economic times (esp. when people are having a hard time getting the loan). We would also consider a rent to own situation. We would of course do a background/credit check and require deposit. Any advice? Any thoughts? TIA!

You have some competition in the BC area. Using Craigslist.org : classifieds - craigslist

Is your Dad local? Can he mow the grass? You may have to offer incentives to entice renters. My brother is a landlord and he had to drop prices just to keep his rentals full.

Good luck!
