I agree with you, I work in Grand Rapids with some genuinely good people. I live down in Kalamazoo area it's like 2 different worlds.

Ha, actually there was an article in the Press about a month ago that debunked that myth. Grand Rapids is like #10 or something for churches and church-goers per capita (Salt Lake City is #1). Grand Rapids is however in the top 5 for volunteerism and philanthropy.
