Default Should I visit?

I was in Grand Rapids once about three years ago for a school choir thing, but didn't get to hang around the city too much, but it seemed like a really nice city. Now I'm older and thinking about going to visit for a weekend. I was wondering what the night life is like on the weekends, and what some of the best attractions are.

I'm from Southeast Michigan (Monroe) and have always been partial to everywhere else in Michigan.
