Are flood warnings an annual event around here come late winter, early spring?

I would say theres always a possibility in places as we get a lot of snow, the melting snow and then rain.

Yes. Although you really only have to worry about it if you live right along the Grand River (in the flood plain). If there's a lot of snow on the ground, and we get a big warmup combined with rain, you'll see water over the roads in some places.

Those poor people by the Grand River this winter. Middle of winter they must have had frozen sweage in their basements!

I alway love looking at the river off Indian Bural Ground Rd when your on 196. Come some springs the water get so close to the highway you swear it will flood, but it never seems to.
