I'm Klaas, student Communication/Radio/Television-Journalism in the Netherlands. I'm thinking of going into the marketing and/or television video business in the USA. My English is practically perfect so that wouldnt be the problem. I know obtain a greencard, so that aint the issue either, but i'm just wondering how and where to get into television/marketing or maybe film related business. Does anyone know whats going on in GR in this business? Maybe opportunities in the Local CBS/Fox networks?
If you know anything about it, please tell me.

I hate to break it to you Klaas, but
all of the TV network affiliates in the U.S. are hurting badly. Dwindling advertising revenue and a much more disbursed audience (losing share to the internet) is what is much of the cause. If you can get into online media, or the film industry, you stand a much better chance of good employment.
If you have film production experience, you might try some of the multi-media and advertising agencies in GR. The film industry in Michigan is just starting to open up, due to tremendous tax credits the state is giving out. But it's not a big industry here by any stretch. Chicago might be a great destination, but then again, you have a lot more creative talent competing for jobs.
