Default Advice about GR (relocating)

We are planning to relocate and are looking for a condo or home in the GR area, preferably West.

I quote from the last message:
"G.R forums are in the top ten most active on both the other national 'city' websites."

Could you send me a link to these forums?

Does anyone know of any new Condo developments that offer free standing type Condos with some flexibility (such as a three car garage), trees and a clubhouse with an active community, preferably 55 and older? I mention "new" developments because we haven't found any existing unit for sale that comes close to this?

Also is it difficult to find organized senior activities in the GR area?

Thanks for any advice!

hmmmm...I thought I replied to this already...

Hello! There are quite a few nice condos on the NE side of town, but I am not really familiar with them.

As for the Senior Activities, there is an organization in Kent County called Senior Neighbors. They are designed to help Seniors with bills and other needs, but they do have various Senior Centers all around where they have organized activities.

Take a look at http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/in...p?showforum=73 for a lot of information about city development. The urban planet Grand Rapids forum is really active and they may have condo suggestions for you. There are a bunch of city planners over there and others who have a greal deal of interest and pride in the city of Grand Rapids.
