My parents are getting divorced and wanting to sell their 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home on the Thornapple river in Alaska township in Caledonia. They're in a rush to sell it, but recently had it appraised for less than they bought it for almost 20 years ago. I think they should wait until the market improves, but am wondering what the real estate climate in Caledonia has been like lately. Are houses selling? What's the average home price? They're hoping to sell for at least 250, hopefully more...but I think that's unrealistic right now. Any info on the Alaska/Caledonia real estate market would be much appreciated!
