My family is moving to Grand Rapids this summer and we are considering living in Byron Center. What is the traffic like on 131 during rush hour from the south side of town? How long, on average, would it take me to go from the Bryon Center exit up to Van Andel Arena. (My office is right next to Van Andel.) Thank you!

I'm assuming your using that huge interchange at 68th St.? (I love the view from the 68th St. overpass!) I think you're looking at about 20 minutes.
The traffic counts are around 60-70,000 near the South Beltline, and it fluctuates from that count to about 90-105,000 the closer you get to Downtown. US 131 isn't all that busy and never really gets bogged down. |
