I have a brand new grandson born this afternoon. 7 boys and 3 girls, the score is getting kind of uneven. I have two more that will be born in the new year. Maybe a couple of girls would be nice LOL. Anyway, my daughter sure had an easy time of it this time. She phoned my wife when her water broke and the wife took off for her place an hour and a half away. The baby was already 30 minutes old when my better half got there. It was a home birth and my daughter and the two midwives were very pleased with how everything went.
In Canada you have a choice of birthing in a hospital with a Dr., or a birthing center with midwives and a Dr. close by or at home with just the midwives. It's nice that our universal health plan covers 100% of all the costs associated with whatever route you choose to go.
Anyway, I'm just thankful that everything went so well and the baby and mother are fine.
