COLUMBUS, Ohio - A grandmother says the pictures were just a joke, but not everyone thought they were funny.

Jackie Sheaks of West Columbus admits she won't be posting photos on Facebook of her granddaughter in different positions anymore. The photos created such a fire storm that local law enforcement got involved out of concerns over potential child abuse.

The duct tape was a bad idea....the other photo, odd. Is the baby in danger? That is for CPS to figure out.

Creepy, Grandma.

I'll go ahead and admit that, unlike the mom, my sense of humor would not appreciate this at all. But she was raised by her, so I guess she's used to it???

As for CPS, to me the photos show VERY poor judgment. If she has no problems seeing her infant grandchild dressed up like a roast, what will she think of next?

The roasting pan although stupid I could see there could be humour in that. The duck tape though was 100% not funny and must have hurt taking it off

I agree the roasting pan was in poor taste. But the duct tape was out right abusive and dangerous! Blocking the babies airway, applying duct tape to an infant?

The mom of this baby needs some serious parent training and this grandma needs to cut down on the crazy if she should be around the baby.

I'm surprised there aren't more tar and feather responses.

it looks like the pacifier might actually be blocking the baby's nose as well as her mouth?

Even if not, the baby could easily have a stuffy nose and unable to spit out the paci.

Duct tape? Who does that? It isn't funny!

When I read the title of the thread, I thought maybe Grandma had used an oversized roasting pan as a safe little bed for a newborn, with soft little blankets (kinda like how some people used to use a dresser drawer for a baby bed). Then I saw the photo, and a sound of complete disgust came out of my mouth. No, not funny, not one bit. Completely disturbing. And as others have said, the duct tape on the face?!?.....that poor little soft skin is NOT going to feel good when the tape is removed.
