Saying the Americans hate the British would be like saying the Argentines hate the Italians. Would you hate yourself?
Can none of you read? This thread is about the ENGLISH. So stick to the talking about the English. All English are British, but not all British all English. Get it?

Even you sometimes confuse the whole British issue and you freaking live there. So stuff it with your priggishness.
I still don't get the whole Great Britain, United Kingdom, England thing. Can't you people just be normal and have A country, and States? I mean look at the USA, we dominate and we're one of the only countries with the state goverment like such.

Nothing confusing about it, dude. British = Welsh, Scottish and English. That too difficult for you? People think British accent = posh English. Full stop. I get people telling me I live in England, and yea, it's bloody annoying!

Yeah, I get it. And sometimes you don't even though you "bloody" live there. Care to tell us yet again how Ireland used to be part of Britain?
You've got no room to be so indignant, so drop the faux outrage. It's not very flattering.
This thread is about the English. Wm Wallace was Scottish.
Yes I know, but the OP mentioned Braveheart as an example given of anti-English sentiment in the US. I mentioned him in regards to a symbol of someone fighting the English.
If we're going to discuss anti-English sentiment, which I think is quite rare in the US, it makes sense to discuss those held up as either justly fighting the English or unjustly being persecuting by them. Those people are sometimes made examples to encourage such sentiment.
