Read Wilbur Smiths books on South Africa..... Fascinating! You will get a better picture of why Africa is the way it is today.... tribalism, colonialism... etc.

I just mentioned some of this stuff in the last post.
My guess is not enough resources. Every tribe needs something from another tribe so they're forced to either fight over it.
Oh hey, it's just like gang wars in this country, except instead of fighting over vital resources, they're fighting over drugs.
I haven't read up on the resources part, do you have a link?

The thing is, everyone except limousine liberals seem to realize this. Black people know it, white people know it, other races and cultures realize it. Yet, in America, we all lie to ourselves and say that all races share equal intelligence, more or less. We voice that view in public. But in private, most people don't really believe it. It's a crazy world we live in when we all agree to ignore the truth.
Could it be that most Africans are more communal in regards to culture? Long and convoluted? I think that the condition of Black people is a complex situation and can't be summed up in just one sentence like you have done. Can you explain the theory of relativity to me in just one sentence? What about the evolution theory? If you can legitimately/correctly sum up Black people in one sentence, then I can correctly sum up this country's history in a single sentence too.
I do believe that everyone (ones who are functional/no disorder) has talent(s) and skill(s)...something that they're good at/excel in. Just look at the early Asian immigrant laborers who came to this country, they had very low IQ but the test were in English and they didn't know English...in time Asian IQ went up as more Asian talent entered the US. The situation's the same regarding the talented Africans who are coming over here, they will boost the IQ up. Lesson: Be careful with that BS "inherent this & that belief" because Western Civilization could owe its start to Africa or something. Never know.
The many resources are retrived by uneducated and poor laborers and the profits are made by "outside" the continent corporations. Unfortunatey, a large part of Africa is becoming desert an with a corrupt government you have forced labor, forcing farmers from their land, ethnic cleansing. Additionally, with the exception of missionaries and some aids organization the US has turned a blind face on the plite of Africans (millions have been killed) via ethnic cleansing ,dying from aids, malaria, water born contaminates (bacteria, heavy metals, parasites) not withstanding starvation and the corresponding impact of years of drought. There are some pockets of exception as it is a huge country. There are attempts by some leaders to improve water supplies to villages and townships lesson deforestation, conservation efforts, animal habitat management (sanctuaries or parks/poacher control services). Social and medical services are helping the population ,but on the horizon poor conditions are just a fact of life and they are decades behind developed countires. I believe if there was OIL in Africa the US would have intervened and fought for oppressed tribes being massacred ,but we have little use for Africa ecomomically and so it has little value to our advanced society and it's fuel demands or reason to pull it out of it's improverished state.

- Colonialism
- Corruption
- Western attempts to undermine the continent covertly
The first example is a no-no. If colonialism always undermines development, then why is India an aspiring power now? The British treated India awfully.
Secondly, all countries are corrupt, with no exceptions. Corruption will exist as long as human beings exist. Yet for most countries, corruption does not retard economic development, so why in Africa?
Lastly, well racism is racism.
So, since corruption is part of the human condition, and colonialism affected other areas badly also, why is Africa still poor?
Nobody ever said that evolution was fair. Until that is universally accepted nothing will ever change in Africa.
The reason corruption retards economic development in Africa is because it is more pervasive throughout their societies. The dictator of Zaire, Mobutu Seko, took 5 billion dollars from Zaire while the infrastructure crumbled. When was the last time the President of the USA, or the Chancellor of Germany, or the PM of the UK or Canada did that?
Until African states can figure that out and figure out ways to extract their resources in a way that benefits their people, and not just corporations doing it, they're going to be broke and starving.
Also I might add that a major reason that Africans are starving is because in many countries they are using outdated farming methods. Also in Zimbabwe, they expelled the white farmers there and within ten years went from being one of the most important exporters of food in Africa to being an importer of food. Things like that are a major reason why there are so many problems, plus desertification is a major factor as well.
You were mentioning evolution. I wanted you to explain that specific part.
Many scientists believe that because of diet and environment that there is an intelligence gap between Africans and there European and Asian conquers. That doesn't mean that there's not brilliant people in Africa as were talking averages but it does make for a grim outlook as far as developed African nations in the near future. I'm not 100% sold on the science that backs those claims up but one would have to think that there certainly is a lot of evidence to support those theories to make for an argument.
