I think since the 1990s, we have had elements of Type 1, but still have a long way to go.

From Wikipedia:

  • Type I — a civilization that is able to harness all of the power available on a single planet — has approximately 1016 or 1017 W available.[3] Earth specifically has an available power of 1.74 × 1017 W (174 peta watts, see Earth's energy budget). Kardashev's original definition was 4 × 1012 W — a "technological level close to the level presently attained on earth" ("presently" meaning 1964).[4]

aside from the energy side of it, a Type One is a world with a global language, global communications system, and to some extent at least, a global culture. I'm not sure it's even a good idea to have a Type One, but do you think we're already there?

I don't think "Earth" people will ever get close to this idea. All we have done (thus far) is raped the Earth, our Mother planet, for capital gains and self-interested endeavors.

In my thinking this type of civilization is one where it is" All for one and one for all." Telepathic commuication and empathy would most certainly be prereqisites in any such situation.
Most people aren't at the point of knowing;much less understranding their own emotions/thoughts and causes of corresponding behaviors.

However, the idea it is not out of reach if one considers reincarnation as a probable reality. Wherein one uses the "Earth" plane as a school towards higher awareness and advances towards the next "level" of physical exsistence.

No matter where you go; There you are:

We've been in that type of government since the founding of the UN.

To control a population, you have to keep them in fear of something. Hence, the cold war, that never really happened. Then it became Muslims, due mainly in part because of the oil in the region.

Corporations are world wide now, and can influence elections in any country in the world, anonymously, buying politicians.

So now they've divided the American citizens, and now we are scared of each other. Conservatives fear that socialists will make some liberal utopia, bankrupting the country, destroying everything they love. Liberals fear that conservatives will turn this country into some George Orwell novel, where Government controls your actions, forcing everyone to be Christians, and do as they are told all the time.

Its all mind games, and its all control by people who control most of the money.

And the sad thing is, I don't think anyone knows they are doing it, even the people at the top. Its just how we are hardwired to act and respond.

"a Type One is a world with a global language,"

I'm not sure if we're moving any closer to that that we've ever been. International languages have tended to failed a fair bit. I'm guessing a good billion people don't speak any given international language.

"global communications system"

I'm guessing that a global communication system requires everyone to have access to it?

" and to some extent at least, a global culture."

We certainly don't have that! I'm not sure what culture China, Iran, The DRC, Russia and the USA shar!

"We've been in that type of government since the founding of the UN. "

The UN isn't a government, and has fairly limited powers linked pretty strong to the nation state that fund them.

"To control a population, you have to keep them in fear of something. Hence, the cold war, that never really happened. Then it became Muslims, due mainly in part because of the oil in the region. "

Isn't this whole argument a bit old hat simplification of the world?

"Corporations are world wide now, and can influence elections in any country in the world, anonymously, buying politicians."

Although States will have bigger budgets and more power than cooperation, so one wonders if it really is that one sided. If nothing else a simple model of pluralism points out that cooperation interests are not united, and so pressure would come from various angels.

"Its all mind games, and its all control by people who control most of the money. "

Who does control the money? I assume you mean nation states, as they are bigger than any companies....

The UN is ran by the permanent members of the security council, the 5 most powerful countries in the world.

Yeah, no real power there.

And if corporations don't run the world, why do we suddenly have to bail out banks that, if they went under, would destroy the world economy?

That money, controls everything, and its in the hands of a few corporations, and banks.

Again, like I said, I don't think people even can see we are under one world control, even the people in charge of it. But its there, and real.

"The UN is ran by the permanent members of the security council, the 5 most powerful countries in the world Yeah, no real power there."

Certainly the states are powerful, America, who provides the finance and military might are powerful. But where is the power of the UN? It has no army, it raises no tax, what power is that?? In the Cold War it was powerless because of the veto power of the USA and USSR, now it is powerless because states use it as a way to try and soft-balance American power, so America's ignore it where convenient.

"And if corporations don't run the world, why do we suddenly have to bail out banks that, if they went under, would destroy the world economy?"

So, your logic is that: 'There was a banking crisis-banking is important to the running of a modern economy-so the banks need the government to bail them out-so the government do so to try and help lessen the recession - therefore banks dependence on states and importance to the economy prove the 'rule the world' .

I'd just suggest that the final step is hardly logically or evidentially proven.

"That money, controls everything, and its in the hands of a few corporations, and banks."

The UK economy is 45% government run, they are the biggest employer, they set trade, tariffs, laws and taxes that dictate how companies stand or fall in the economy. Is it really a picture of corporation domination?

"Again, like I said, I don't think people even can see we are under one world control, even the people in charge of it. But its there, and real."

Again, some logic some evidence to support what your saying!!

I think there have been efforts to do just that for quite some time, but to what level is exceeds. . . who know?.

It all sounds like one helluva BORING, dull world to me. Hopefully I'll be 6 ft under.
