which god? actually, man wrote down what the rules were and changed em up to fit his agenda. there are no proven words of God. you don't need God to tell you that incest is wrong.

incest is wrong because it is against nature. nature moves FORWARD. everything moves forward, and incest is unnatural because it is a closed circle. it is going backward. all so called "taboos" are based in generally sensible ideas. even the idea primitive cultures had of sequestering a woman while she was having her period was sensible at the time. the smell of blood could put her in danger. for the safety of the tribe she was separated. this isn't necessary anymore in most cultures. i think many religious texts throughout the world are filled with these types of cultural mores that applied to the time they were written, but don't neccesarily apply now. but something like incest is always wrong because it is against nature. it leads to birth defects and a desecration of the gene pool. that is why religious scriptures all over the world, in many religions, forbid it. you don't S*&t where you eat. that is not natural. even dogs understand this.

Nothing is „against Nature“ because Nature does not have a plan or agenda to be „against“.

Also incest does not lead to birth defects; it leads to an increased likelihood of birth defects. There is a massive difference there and not one we can so easily brush aside. Technically ALL sex has some probability of birth defects and pretending that incest does while "normal" relationships do not is simply an obfuscation.

However there has, more and more, developed a difference between sex for reproduction and sex for pleasure and/or to explore a relationship with someone. I think, though I can be corrected, that the main topic here is the later and we are not really talking about reproduction. The issue is whether sex between relatives in and of itself is reprehensible or somehow “wrong” and I can see no argument to suggest it is… in and of itself.

The only issue I can see with it, which I covered in my last post, is that it risks changing the relationship you have with that person… a rare one you can likely never have with another person again… in irreversible and often undesirable ways. This is the main warning I would put to people thinking of engaging in it, but more as something to make sure they think about than an actual argument on the morality of their actions.

What consensual adults do in their own bedrooms has little to do with us.
