Wouldn't that be the case by default? Why would the law have to be amended?

It's easier to smoke a cigarette or joint near a school than it is to eat a peanut near a school.

By the time is pot is legalized, there won't be any places left to smoke it!

there is no way that no smoking can be enforced with out having the smoke police break your door down. LOL

In our building our hallways always smell of pot a lot of times, totally gross, as a few of the tenants smoke in their apartments.

they are doing it in their apartments so they are not hurting anyone, as far as the smell which to me is far worse than ciggs, i go in my apt close the door and do not smell it.

as far as legilization, please, never going to happen, otherwise it will be taxed to death like ciggs.

can you imagine everyone walking around in a stoned state of mind.............

Because everyone walks around drunk all the time now? And I'm not sure what the problem with it being heavily taxed would be. Sounds like an easy revenue maker.

No way, I support the use for those that need it for medical reasons, but I wouldn't want a drunk in public anymore that I want a bunch of people lighting up in public. It's rude/ infringes on the rights of the public, and gives those that use it discretely a bad name.

You can't smoke out anywhere you can't drink (which is most public places), because that would be public intoxication.
And you can't drive for ~8 hours, so where do you think you'll be able to go?

just like cigarette, it has tar, its hot and irritates lungs and make then unclean. Medical marijuana users use vapor inhale method which is safer but more expensive.

^ This.

Plus the comment about not bring able to drive so you won't be able to go anywhere. Your apartment? Forget it. Pretty soon they'll be evicting people for smoking, if they aren't already.

Absolutely not.

There is nobody more pro-marijuana legalization than I am, but I think it should be done in private. Smoking clubs are fine, but they are legal for Cigars and Cigarettes too. Bars have smoking sections here in California, they just have to be on a patio or something, so they could just as easily allow pot in the same places where cigarettes and cigars are allowed.

And while marijuana smoke is less harmful than Cigarette smoke, it's still smoke and it still bothers people, so there's no reason to make a special exemption to no-smoking rules specifically for pot. Plus, there's always edibles, tinctures and other non-smoking ways to get THC.

And it's already smoked freely at concerts...just go to any outdoor Ben Harper show and see how many lighters spark up when he starts singing "Burn one Down".

There is a school of thought ('thought' is used liberally here) that says the earth is less than 10,000 years old too.
