This does not explain why crime rates have fallen at the same pace in all socioeconomic regions of America, nor does it explain falling crime rates in every single country that environmental lead exposure has been studied in.

If your abortion theory was correct, then crime rates would be falling much faster in places like Detroit and East St. Louis than they would places like Manhattan or Boston.

I worked in psychiatry for many years, and it was a common theme for the insane and the criminally insane. 'My mother never wanted me.'

Interesting and fascinating.

Do you see this same theme recurring among adoptees, or is it something which is seen solely within those who were raised by a birth mother who didn't want them? Also, if they're insane or criminally insane, how can one verify that they are even capable of being honest with medical professionals or their own self?

Sorry this a one line response but I don't have time to do people research for them this morning. I suggest a study on the total population demographic for those places. I think you may find that people who are not prone to crime do not live in the former locations....

I'm having problems sharing the ABC news link, but the figure in 2009 was 92%. Sadly, these were wanted children with a genetic issue the parents did not want.
I'm pro choice, although the above upsets me and does smack of eugenics.

Going back to the topic -- the thought appears to be unwanted children grow to become criminals; has anyone studied prison populations consisting of inmates born post Roe v. Wade and compared them to inmates born before that decision?

The topic has truly piqued my curiosity.
