I don't think that all guns should be banned, but I also think it's way too easy to get them and regulations are pretty much useless unless they're nation-wide.
I consider that to be a pretty reasonable position on the issue.
Only in the opposite way. I used to be a major gun nut, ever since I was about 12 years old. I stuck with it for quite some time, but each time there was a major shooting the arguments of the pro-gun side started seeming weaker and weaker. The way they had no empathy for the shooting victims and turned every shooting into a pro-gun 'standoff' kept getting to me. Sandy Hook was the last straw. I've since gotten rid of all my guns except for some antique shotguns that belonged to my grandpa, and I no longer associate with my old gun nut friends.
