I do find it funny in a way that the alt-right still gets to wear the term "conservative" when it is they who are introducing radical and backwards thinking into the national discourse. Everything from classic bigotry to nonsense like trying to weave religion into law - in direct violation of the 1st Amendment. People whine about "liberals" and their radical, game-changing concept of "not hating your neighbor because he's different" as if that's an incredible new idea. It's funny and sad at the same time.

As for a revolution, nah... it won't happen, at least not like that. An endless slide into mediocrity is what we'll get, with often wild swings between left and right and back again.

The real danger is with ignorant populists, like Trump, who are able to gain huge support based on obviously empty promises, hatred of "the other," and people longing for the "good old days" that never existed as they remember them. People like that can easily wreck a nation, as has happened in other nations over the years.

People who demand radical "change" should be careful what they wish for - America has far further to fall in the standing of nations than it has to rise.

OP, I am very sorry then. You simply believe what you want to believe and nothing else gets past the concrete wall barrier.
it is very comfortable position requiring no mental effort and allowing someone else to guide you, like a small child.
that's exactly the type they want us to be. No independent thought.
