What nonsense, you cannot be sued for enlisting in the armed forces. It was a contrived excuse to protect a coward.

quite a few of those actors own firearms, even sean penn who is an ardent anti-gun fanatic. he is another of the ones that believe that only the elite and rich should own firearms.

They either own guns or have body guards with guns or both. Hypocrites.

This is why, for the most part I have utter contempt for Hollywood. They tell us how to live but have no intention of living like that. That's especially true when it comes to all this green living stuff; a Prius for the masses but Hummers and private jets for the elite.

I call it a "We Know Best" mentality. It's very typical of uber-socialists, the intellectual elitists who actually strongly feel that they have out-thought you and I, and that if only they had complete power (as they probably now imagine they've achieved with Barama...) the world would be SOOOO MUCH BETTER for us all. And in particular, for them.

And to your point about Hollywood, HPD, you bet! Given some fame for their "acting" abilities, they also gain a bully pulpit from which they blat out philosophical BS, with a sneer in their voices. It's really quite disgusting, isn't it?

Hence my other almost-quote: "Keep your Filthy Hands Off Me, You Damned Dirty Socialists!". Of course they have no intention of letting up, just so you know what to expect in the future...

This subject always amazes me with the way some think. Ya, more and stricter laws are going to make our society safer. Sure...you keep thinking that. I don't think my father ever gave me a more useful thought then when he told me once: "jasper, you can't change people with more laws, you can only change them when their attitude changes".

If 20 zillion gun laws have brought us to this circumstance....who is so arrogent to think that the next law they propose will magically make gun violence go away :-) Geez...hello !

Seems to me a few months ago I read that over in England (I could be wrong with the country name) where they have very severe gun control....there has been a rash of murder and other various violent crimes committed with knives. Ok...so now how do we regulate knives. Do we need to register them ? Maybe they shouldn't be on every kitchen counter in the country...but locked up (like a gun safe type of thing) and you could have locking sheathes that would keep the sharp part from being exposed to anyone other than the licensed owner.

Now, about the kids with baseball bats and those nasty sling shots running around all summer.........
