Pimps should get in HUGE trouble ( I agree) and the women should not. HOWEVER, these people are not of sound mind....Its like saying

Well...the person who commited suicide or smoked crack chose to and wanted to, so I gave it to them!....

Ummmmm.....were is humanity to step in and NOT assist people who are hurting themselves. Prostitution will always be emotionally damaging whether it is illegal or not, it will always carry high disease rates, it will always be a form of taking advantage of the weaker persons unfortuante situation in life. The person who buys a prostitute is inhumane and being heartless to a disadvantaged human being, regardless of law.

It's wrong to impose your values on others. You cannot assume that all women think like you do or will be damaged by the job they chose. Once again, I recommend you actually speak to real escorts (not street walkers on drugs).

In regards to being inhumane for "buying" a prostitute, how do you know that's not the only way that person can obtain consensual sex? Would you rather a person engage in forced celibacy or break up a family with small children because their spouse refuses to have sex? They should be able to decide this for themselves.

In regards to "humanity stepping in to assist people who are 'hurting themselves", where is the line drawn? What if some bureaucrat says fatty food hurts us medically, so we should all be forced to eat veggies and fruits only? Or, some humans are violent and cause wars so they should confine us to our homes to protect us from each other? (I,Robot reference LOL) It's best to let humans have the freedom to make their own choices and suffer the consequences of that choices instead of being the "moral police".

Once again, legal prostitution eradicated disease in Nevada brothels.

I am also against the stereotypical form of pimping.

For the record, I'm not talking about forced children or human trafficking victims.
For some women it is the only way of making quick money, in the past women have done it for survival to put food in their childrens belly's there were no choices. Legalised brothels offer an assortment of sexual preferences and employ women who are willing to perform such acts and are paid accordingly. On the street the women are vulnerable to all kinds of deviants, i think that is where the abuse comes in.

freedom , I have 2 friends who were escorts....they are extremely damaged by it and NEVER enoyed it. BOTH of them came from very disturbing home environments...

If a woman is really enjoying sex that much, she will not ask for money!

You cant understand unless you have ever felt slobbered over and taken advanatge of by a gross person....most men have never felt like the gender with less money, in need and confused about how far to go into abuse (prostitution) for survival.

I don't think the government has any business telling people what they can or cannot do with their own bodies!! Who "owns" or "controls" your body...the govt? That's a scary thought.

-Some people don't like tattoo's or piercings. You can have "Mussolini was great" tattooed on your forehead...thats legal. Or, say a gang sign tattooed on your body. Why is prostitution more dangerous than a gang sign tattooed on someone? It doesn't make much sense.

There are a lot of holes in the "prostitution" is illegal arguement, even if you don't like it. Why is stripping legal, but prostitution not? Kind of a thin line there.

Why are cigarette's legal? They kill more people than prostitution.

If a woman who gets promoted while sleeping on the job with the boss - is it prostitution? Xtra bonus, higher wages, wider perks.

Before it was made illegal, women were sometimes coerced into sleeping with their boss or lose their jobs. There was this cartoon that was very popular for decades of a boss chasing his secretary around the desk, and nobody felt that it anything but amusing!

Back then many secretaries were in great shape. I think it is an inservice to make it illegal for the boss to chase his secretary around the desk. It seems that it was a great way for both the boss and the secretary to stay in shape. I have seen some secretaries and they could use some cardio in their lives. Running would be good for them. Look at it like this, I have heard that is the boss catches them they will still burn off about 300 calories. LOL

Why do you think a secretary is called secret - ary? With all the running around the tables to extract secrets from her, might as well called her secret-nanny.

Moreover, the job performed by the intern or is it "in turns" considered prostitution to that MR President who said later in the grand jury - " I did not have sex with that woman "?

Still nobody can say whether the promotion via sleeping on the job is legal or not?
