Yes, I gather you suspect that. The difference between the other dictators you name (later) and Hitler is that they all turned their primary terror on the general publics of their countries, rather than with outward warfare.

This cut down on the willingness of the world leaders to step in and do anything. By late 1941, Hitler had already been in enough different parts of Europe with his forces to merit direct warfare against him and his troops. There was a reason I gave you Napoleon as my comparison, rather than Stalin or Amin, etc.

The first camp was Dachau and was opened in 1933. It was a death camp but different methods of extermination were used.

No jews would be around. You would speak German and you would be expecting your government check any day now. He systematically setup a system to overtake and destroy. To re-write that history is highly disrespectful.

Yep open holes and machine guns then using the gas from trucks to gas jews but it took too long to suit the nazi's then aong came zylon b .. But this is how is see this scenerio,Germany begins to rebuild after the war the economy is shakey but intact. By borrowing money from a few Nazi sympathetic countrys they start to pull together,America Great Briton along with the other allies sanction Germany to punish them Russia eventually strikes a deal to trade with Germany and slowly they begin to prosper. The rest of the world realizes they need resources and a presense in the nazi controlled countrys and slowly over years the sanctions are lowered. Hitler goes on to develop the V2 rocket program and develops a space program first. A few small skirmishes break out over territory over the years which are put down quickly by Hitlers internal army..Hitler dies eventually and his son takes the reign and time marches on. a simple thought on this scenerio with a lot missing but a basic premise of my original idea.

I worked at the Holocaust Museum, so I am all too familiar with the details, unfortunately.

There were gypsies, political prisoners, Jehovahs Witnesses, homosexuals, etc. It was started as a training camp for the SS also.

Hitler was only a representative of human nature.

Great perspective and so true. On some level," we" allowed him to be successful.

Wow, I see. So homosexuality was already against the law by 1933. Freaky. I guess I wouldn't have stayed in Germany. I don't think gay people were liked in many countries though??
