Obama doesn't have the authority/power/ability to instantly legalize a substance that was banned by an act of Congress. Marijuana cannot be legalized by an executive order. To even attempt such a thing would constitute a major abuse of power. The only options that are legally open are the United States Congress and the Supreme Court of the United States. Note that the Supreme Court has already ruled on the issue and made their position clear, so your only hope is the United States Congress.
Very true. Which is why the federal government needs to butt out and stop penalizing medical marijuana distributors/users who are acting legally in CA. (I think I heard they are as of a few weeks ago)
That said, I don't think pot should be legal. Medical marijuana maybe but not just for regular people to use for recreation.
Yeah we do, why do we deserve to go to jail for that?
Because it's a CRIME
Doesn't surprise me that someone who thinks teenagers should be allowed to drink also thinks that people should be allowed to smoke pot whenever they please

So is speeding, but I bet you do that on nearly a daily basis. Speeding is actually more likely to cause harm to yourself/others than a joint will. So, lets start jailing people for that to, going by your "logic" its the only rational thing to do.
