maybe they will get to wear nice brown shirts, with polished boots and an armband with a "special" insignia now tobe serious, its called local law enforcement. and each state has the national gaurd. theres border patrol, etc. I really think we do not need a new group.

Reason: add on
perhaps it is a way to keep people involved in their destiny and safety and restore a sense of nationalism. There are many that have fallen into the "all for me" frame of mind. some need an expanded vision of all for one, and we are in this together.
Could it be if people get involved in their own security we will see less crime? Will people not be as easy to victimize if they take an active role in security? dace it the police force is a business used to raise funds for the city by imposing outrageous fines on the people for "crimes" they are just as guilty of doing. It doesn't pay for them to solve crimes like robbery, rape murder, there is no money in it. They don't find anyone, in fact ifsolved they ad an expense in the courts and prisons.
Living near the border, we have already experienced the Minuteman project. It will be interesting to see the medias take on his proposal after they ridiculed civilians visually patroling the border.
Yes, I've some concerns about what he intends. But I will wait to hear the whole idea.
Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the National Guard is anymore???
I mean I know that Bush has been using them to bolster his Iraq misadventure, but I'm pretty sure the whole "civilian soldier" thing was their gig to begin with!!!
As with brainwashing kids in elementary school about global warming, youths in a national security force will be brainwashed that big government is good and will be dedicated democrat voters forever.
