I could, but I won't, since the topic of the thread is, in fact, obesity.

But feel free to start up yet another such thread in the religion forum, I'm sure you'll get plenty of attention there.

I didn't think size 4 was really very obese at all.

Don't know about adults; but for kids I would say the main reasons are Nintendo, X-Box, and wii (yes wii; no "fit" video game can replace kids riding bikes, playing ball, etc...)!

How about for kids the main reason being inattentive parents. (It's all about personal responsibility--you are what you are because of the decisions you make)

I agree! The obesity problem starts in childhood with poor parenting skills. Parents are the ones in charge of feeding their children. Poor eating habits develop in childhood. Parents also need to make sure that their kids are getting enough exercise. If their kids are starting to look plump, it's time for a change in lifestyle. Eating right isn't rocket science. Counting calories isn't a difficult task.

And if you can't raise your children properly, don't have kids!!!!!!!!!!

Parents believe that the rear-seat entertainment device excuses them from responsiblity. That was the point of my post.
