The "N word"? (against, history, considered, arguments)

Okay my fellow white people, we need to come up with a word of own that we can say, but black's can't. Then they'll see our point of view of things. Any suggestions for this "Magic Word?" -mmccul

People can whatever they want- I don't know what the big deal is, I'm sure a lot of C-D members use the N* word all the time with their circle of friends. Just remember that if you say it around me- I'm not your friend and the word may just incite me to beat your ass...but an ass whoopin' shouldn't stop you from saying what you want should it

jesus christ, people. it is so simple. i hear you white people bring this up constantly and you just cant understand it because you arent black. you have never been called a ******. you never will be.

in a nutshell, amongst a many blacks in America, when they refer to each other as ******, it cannotes familiarity.

when a white person or asian, middle eastern, or latino refers to a black person as ****** it cannotes racism. you are saying to that person that you are superior to him/her based merely on the color of your skin. you are saying to "remember your place." you are saying that no matter how ignorant and uninteligent you are, that you are better than him and should enjoy more prosperity because your skin is lighter and your hair is straighter. and such has historically been the case. it was/is immasculating in a way that you must not understand. to be called "boy", and considered less than human. without this degrading and humiliating historical context there never is, was, or will be an equivilent word to be used against the white man that can have the same effect. "cracker" dont mean $#!+.

do you get it? if you aint black, just dont say it. if you do say it, then at least understand that thems fightin' words. and stop stressing over this. stop stressing over the prospect that the blacks have something that you dont - the use of the word ******.

I think that is illogical. It makes people who say it look stupid. It's like if me and a bunch of my friends all called each other a$$hole, or some other crude, vulger word. It's like a bad Southpark, or Beavis and Butthead episode. But if you want to keep the word alive, go for it. It doesn't make anyone sound cool and it just keeps the word and it's history alive.

Good post. Its like some people want to be included in everything. Its like I wouldn't call Italians the d word, Polish the P word, or call all whites the h and c word. You know what they say about people that want to be included to say the n word.

Most people don't want to be included in it at all. Who wants to be included in saying it? Teenagers trying to be rebels? I don't know any adults who wish they could say that word. That's a joke.

Face it, most people just think it sounds incredibly stupid and uneducated. They just want to see everyone stop saying it because it's an ugly word with ugly history. There are some people that want to say the word so bad, including people on this site. So by you, should we also ban motherf*cker, b*tch, sl*t, and just about every single vulgar word in the book? Of course its a bad word,I just don't see it going away.
