You say this now but if you or someone you know gets diagnosed with a disease that stem cells may one day cure you'll be glad we did not wait any longer.

I am glad we are getting back into stem cell research, well played Obama

It's a political move. Science has moved beyond that and now have found that they have more promising results in adult skin cells. He knows this is out dated science. But people don't and he is just doing it to get his lefties excited.

They are too busy sipping their kool aid to keep up with science.

I agree with this decision whole heartily, I think if it's not the next direction to new therapy's for millions...that it is at least a stepping stone to get there.

Adult cells are not the same as fetal stem cells. This is a well-known FACT, and the only reason that science was mucking about with the inferior adult cells is because they weren't allowed to use the fetal stem cells.

Good going, Obama!

Also, they said on the news this morning that this will give scientists more jobs, especially for student researchers.

All this does is allow people researching stem cells to apply for money that was already available.

I have had heart-disease since I was 43, and I don't expect to see 75. I live with the problem as best as I could; however, I have no desire whatsoever to live "forever".

Baloney! Research for ANYTHING is extremely costly.
