What does what mean? Be specific.

I have not read all the posts so, somone else may have already brought this up.

30 Rock is full of racial slurs going both way, it's comedy! People need to relax and be able to make fun of themselves.

I don't think it is fair to be able to talk about your own race or self and not let anyone else make such comment or make fun of others and not yourself or people of your race. We are all humans, we're all different, and we're all the same.

P.S. I always thought "cracker" was used to describe the old Florida herder.

When I was growing up, We all joked and kidded with each other. We poked fun and teased. But I have found with some races, that is not acceptable. so I mind my manners around them, so as to not hurt their feelings. but on the other hand, I'm not able to be open and to get close to them. for fear of them taking what I say in jest, as a serious attack on their race. Sad, but it is what it is.

Out society has become so sensitized and PC that people are afraid to say anything for fear of (gasp!) offending someone or, worse, hurting their feelings! It used to be that the fear in this country was of a right-wing fascist type dictatorship restricting speech, etc., ala 1984, but it's becoming more likely it will be the left-wing liberal PC police that will do so. There is investigation now into whether or not the Fort Hood shooter could have been prevented from doing what he did but for fear of violating some PC code or appearing racist.

We all have rights as guaranteed in the Constitution, but I see no right against being offended or having our feelings hurt.

We've reached the point that classic movies such as Blazing Saddles or the famous SNL skit with Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase playing word association games probably couldn't be made today.

As you can tell I'm not a big PC fan. But, I do think that if it is going to be an issue, it should be uniform in it's application.

Wonder how "Amos and Andy" would do today? One of my all time favorite comedies.

If a black person calls me in any way that disdains my white race, I simply use the N I G G E R word.
Tit for tat.

When I was younger, I often reacted in the same way. You insult me, I'll insult you. As I get older I see that serves no useful purpose, and just keeps the whole thing going. Now days I treat folks the way I think they should be treated. and hope they get the message. I'm not coming down, just to make them feel better about themselves.

Name calling directed to hurt someones feelings is wrong, however if done for satire it should be OK. We need to remember what most of us were taught at a very young age. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
