Only in cases where the evidence is incontrovertible. I mean no chance they are innocent. Not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, I mean absolutely no doubt at all.

Now that they have DNA, I am 100% for it, and not 10 years later either! All the jail cells are all overcrowded because of this.

Sorry, can't support the death penalty for animal abuse. I think he is low life scum, but I wouldn't see him dead over it.

If you are for the death penalty, do you think it should only apply in murder cases or also in cases such as child rape, etc?

I, for one, am against the death penalty. But, I'd like to hear views from both sides.
I am dead set against the death penalty. While we do have the best type of justice system currently available, it is inherently flawed.

"Innocent until proven guilty" has evolved into "innocent if you can afford the better attorny."

I support legalizing pot/coke to empty out our prisons of nearly half of the non-violent criminals and free up funds to turn each and every prison into super-max styles. One hour out of your cell a day, no contact with other inmates. Life in such an institution would certainly act as more of a deterent than what amounts to life in prison as a death row inmate wastes tax payer funds on appeal after appeal.

I certainly will NOT support the death penalty for child rapists, for two reasons.

There have been enough cases of false reports, such as children taking revenge for something, and too many cases of mistaken identity. I also do not support this ideal as it has been implanted in our national psyche by Christian fundamentalists, specifically the Christian Reconstruction Movement and their cover organization, the Chaldeon Foundation. These people should be allowed NO victories.

Life long institutionalization without hope of parol is what I advocate to keep our children safe. Purpose built fenced facilities, small towns in essence, as self-supporting as possilble. No internet access, not even the Nickalodian Channel.

It is simply impossible to commute a death sentance after it has been carried out.
