My vote is on the God thing. We all have opinions on the issue and there is no way to verify any of them. Yet we continue to beat the dead horse and make fun of each other... all the while having no substantive information on the topic.

I think it's the abortion issue. Just the meer mention of it sparks even the most calm polite people into an all out fight with their balls and their blood.

The origins of man.
1. Evolved on the Savanna.
2. Evolved in or near the water (Aquatic Ape Theory)
3. Created by God in one day.
4. Intelligent design.
5. Created by extraterrestrial genetic engineering.
6. Created by some other intelligent species already here on Earth...

a big debate for me would be particale smashing science. did you know it takes the biggest machine to find the smallest particle and one of the most expensive ones too.. my point with particale accelerator smashing science is that some things should just be left alone!!! smashing paticales could some day create the big bang.. yep the whole univers could have been created from some past intelligent life form that was just to curious and stupid to leave that kind of science alone..if there is a creator he might have set the trigger and when we smash a certain particale poof we recreate the whole prosses over again...i know that sounds way out there but you never know.

Here's a good one: Why is it that the universe is only supposed to be 15 billion years old, but we find quasars that are 22 billion miles away? What is that all about?

well i think the farthest galaxies visible from a telescope are 13.5 billion light years away from earth...light travels at over 186 thousand miles per second making a light year 5.8 trillion miles so that would be 13.5 billion times 5.8 trillion these are rounded numbers. so that would make 22 billion miles a drop in the ocean.
