no you truly did not offend me at all...honest. I normally try hard to post in a nice way even if I really want to tell someone how stupid they are. so for the reminder I do thank you, being rude is no way at all to act for any reason.

I think my statement was perhaps bordering on an "in your face" that could have been said a better way..

no worries!

This oft-quoted stat which came from just one survey is as big a red herring as the claim that '50% of marriages end in divorce" and "red states have a higher divorce rate than blue states" The fact is, few atheists even bother to marry, while most Christian do.. A more accurate reading would the number of atheist cohabitations (including marriages) that fizzle vs. the number of Christian cohabitations.

And, even more importantly, why do people who attend church more often suport the use of torture. As a matter of fact, the more people go to church, the more they are likely to support the use of torture. The church group LEAST likely to support torture are Lutherans. "Only" 70% of Lutherans refuse to condemn torture.

Oh, Christ. Here we go. This "torture" thing is yet another machination from the Left. The fact is, America is wimpy with its information gathering, the terrorists laugh at us. But when we can get a terrorist to give up information that would save American lives, I say do what you have to do. Turns out the few times we used waterboarding were very effective. And the idea that GWB invented all this stuff is a laugh. The leftwingers have tried to rewrite history just as they did in accusing GWB of being the first person to talk about WMD.

So, don't give me that balony about "teaching morals." Dealing with the realities of the "real" world is what is needed. Pragmatism may irritate the pro-lifers--but "teaching morals" via church, school, or community is a waste of time. Morals must be taught by mom and dad if they are to have any effect.
Yeah, so much better if we pass out condoms in school. BTW, how is that working in those urban areas? Same as it is in Africa?

Actually, the embryo cloning research that I'm referring to was published in 2008 in the journal Stem Cell.

The mother's body has nothing to do with pregnancy or abortion? Really?

The mother's body is a minor player when you consider what's happening to an aborted person. Women can cry me a river about their inconveniences. It's just pure selfishness to put your own superficial interests over the life of another person. Hopefully it will be deemed criminal behavior as well.

Toture brings dishonor to the nation, the torturing agency, and the torturer. According to your thesis, being honorable is wimpy. Have you ever tried telling that to a United States Marine? "Honor is wimpy." That's a new one.

Seems I have far more empathy for all the little children being butchered than you do. In my book, slaughtering little kids is very closed, cold, and bigoted.

Well, according to many other posts of yours, you're fine with the slaughter of children who are caught in the crossfire of a war where YOUR ass is being saved from some fictional mass attack on Americans.
