Empathy: A condition of "understanding", in an emotional way, the plight of others.
Anyone here think E is empathic?

Let me write the first chapter of a science fiction story, and see how the pro-lifers play it out.
A mad scientist creates a lot of human embryos. Let's say a billion. Everyone of them is "human" because it is aftifically fertilized with human chromosomes. He hopes to turn them all into a billion human beings, to be trained to be good little soldiers, and then be unleashed on the liberal public. Pro-life superheroes get wind of this malicious plot, and storm his Nebraska laboratory, taking possession of the billion 5-day-old embryos, which have just been activated this week and have begun to grow into their cute little human American selves.
You write Chapter 2. What do right-to-lifers do with the billion babies?

How can rape be less violent than anything, let alone voluntary abortion?
Is masturbation wrong? Is a miscarriage manslaughter? Is there a crime associated with still birth?
You cannot equate a jumbled bunch of cells with a living thinking human being & expect to be taken seriously.

How can rape be less violent that an abortion? You don't think cutting up and sucking out the guts of a person is more severe than raping someone?
So you're right. There really is no comparison. Abortion is 1000 times more violent any ALWAYS results in death.

we can cross a rape victim off the list of things E has empathy for as well as the thousands of people suffering from Aids in Africa!

that isn't the question and you know it! you are just dancing around the question by asking another one. answer the question. most people could list at least ten things off the top of their head they have empathy without any trouble at all. yet you have had days to think up something and you can't very sad E

I would say they build a gigantic orphanage to house all of these 'saved' lives and then complain about the monies used to run the orphanage...because they are running on too many 'hand outs'...

I have no empathy towards aborted fetuses because they haven't developed enough to be worth fussing over. A first trimester fetus is not on the same level as a birthed human baby.

Assuming it would cost about $10,000 (wild guess) just to bring each one to term, and at least that much annually for child rearing (Huggies, vaccinations, Crayolas, iPods, McNuggets, confirmation dress) kicks in, we'd be talking a mere ten trillion dollars a year, unless the right-to-lifers plan to seriously deprive the kids of their Christian American birthright. I don't know how they could make a fuss about handouts like that, which is less than TARP.

Little babies? You mean embryoes...or a blob of cells that resembles nothing other then...a blob of cells.
