I believe that some people are so closed minded that they will not listen even to highly competent professionals. Partisanship in our society has gotten so far out of hand that some will not entertain ideas or proposals that vary from the rhetoric that comes from "their" political party.
I think that the only thing we can do is just pick a state where the locals share your values. I picked New Hampshire because the people here are fairly libertarian. Socialists can migrate to Massachussetts or California. Conservatives can move to Texas, the Carolinas, or some other state that has a lot of conservative folks.

Libertarians are much closer to conservatives than they are to liberals. NH has voted Democrat most of the time recently. So that's decidedly UNlibertarian.
I think I'm getting my question answered about winning debates vs changing hearts and minds. The correct answer is you do both at the same time by presenting unassailable evidence in as clear a manner as possible. But the key is you don't coddle the crazies, don't suck up to them. If someone is saying crazy things you call them out on it. Others watching will get the message, and THEIR hearts and minds will be changed. It's the average rational normal person you're going after. The crazies aren't changing anyway. You wouldn't want them to. You need them as they are. They get you more converts than you could ever get on your arguments alone.
So thanks, people. In an indirect (and unintentional) way, you've been an enormous help in convincing me what I must do.

Somewhere in this odd, derisive post, I think you've found a decent point to make. I hope you can make peace with it and stop baiting or being baited by your opposition.
From the looks of the 700 or so posts I've collected today, I'd say I've made an enormous impact.
You've attracted attention and nothing else. And that is not by power of your arguments, but by mocking people with your stubborn arrogance to the point that it becomes comical. This is what the trolls and clowns do, they are very successful at getting 'crowds'. So, you are a clown, congratulations!
BTW, these threads are becoming boring, try to come up with something new, will you? Yawn... Time to unsubscribe
