with all respect i do not believe that the crime increase in australia and england were due to a redistribution of wealth in those countries . gun advocates site a strong correlation between disarming the populous and crime increase, global factors relevant to wealth distribution, i dont think so. not any more so than getting mugged in memphis.

Once again - an untruth from you -

Personally, we are VERY involved in trying to get the changes you mentioned.

BUT, when this event occurred, it did not matter about what society was doing - what was IMPORTANT was, what was happening at the IMMEDIATE MOMENT.

You seem not to be able to separate the issues.

And you base this conclusion solely on the fact that I don't agree with you?
Are you sure it isn't because you're convinced that I don't know squat about American culture, history and society?

"An Unarmed People is an Enslaved People".
"A Disarmed People is a Conquered people".
I will not be enslaved or Conquered.

Right.
Gimme liberty or gimme death.
Sounds like a slogan from a fanatical terrorist organisation.

You just illustrated your ignorance about American History and the strength of the American Patriots and the American ideals.

Thanks for proving it once and for all.

Any more questions?
You failed to provide sources for your stats - which were City-Data.com.
FWIW, the 1115.1 (2006) is in reference to 320.9 as the national average.
Prior to 2005 (and Hurricane Katrina) the score was 868 (2004).

And the index doesn't give details.

Murders: 3 (2004) versus 4 (2006)
Murders / 100k : 6.5 (2004) versus 9.2 (2006)

Now, are you so sure that your INDEX indicates rampant murders due to prolific gun ownership?

Alexandria, Louisiana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"As of the census of 2000, there were 46,342 people, 17,816 households, and 11,722 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,754.6/sq mi(677.5/km²). There were 19,806 housing units at an average density of 749.9/sq mi (289.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 54.75% Black or African American, 42.60% White, 0.25% Native American, 1.25% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.23% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 0.98% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race."
NOW let us look at "gun impaired" Washington, DC:
Murders: 181 (2007)
Murders / 100k : 30.8 (2007)
Yet it has a crime index of only 670!

Gun happy Alexandria, LA has 6.5 murders / 100k people
Gun Banned DC has 30.8 murders / 100k people

Or let's look at Philadelphia, PA:
Murders: 392 (2007)
Murders / 100k : 27.3 (2007)
Crime index: 682.9

A lucky bunch because of one man with a gun. A man who some would not permit to carry on campus.

LoL you pretend as if I didn't know he quoted some patriot.
I just see no difference between American patriotism and the patriotism of the countries your former government called the ashes of evil.
Just like the American patriots only care about Americans and America, they only care about their people and their country.
Like you only care about your family and not the families of other Americans.
