Idealistic, to me, implies they don't have a grip on reality so for idealistic any aged people, I'd have to say "no" to saving the world. It's not that we don't need these people and their dreams. It's that idealistic people don't strike me as doers and/or people who can implement their ideas to actually save the world. It's all in their heads.
