You got it Tohee, here is the exact definition.

ek-klay-see'-ah
From a compound of and a derivative of; a calling out, that is, (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both) - assembly, church.

It's the believers (the Body of Christ)

Not to mention that they are ALL charlatans as well.

I whole heartedly agree. I understand that there are a lot of bad people that capitalize on people's faith and these people do not represent all religious folks.

What you say here reiterates what I was trying to say before; that any church that rakes in enough cash to pay someone like these millions of dollars that they aren't a real representative of the religion. They are self serving jackasses out for money and they just put up a front that's whitewashed in a little religious tradition.

A preacher with U$ 1,5 milion salary is not a preacher, he is a mercenary and a mercantilist.

I haven't been to Sunday School in a lot of years but I used to win prizes for memory verses, and this one came to mind (of course I had to look it up!):

Jesus called the twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases. Then he sent them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick, after saying to them, "Take nothing with you for the trip: no walking stick, no beggar's bag, no food, no money, not even an extra shirt. Wherever you are welcomed, stay in the same house until YOU leave that town; wherever people don't welcome you, leave that town and shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them."

I would like to think a preacher will preach God words out of the kindness of his heart, instead of a paycheck. If a preacher give most of his time to church,he should be compensated, but not that much. I think a normal salary is ok,no more than the average members salaries whom pays their tithes. Example, a pastor with a 1.5 million salary, but the people who attends the church live in stricken neighborhoods, which the church itself is located in a poor neighborhood.
A preacher should not have a $1.5 million salary for being a preacher. If he has that salary from something else unrelated to his ministry(ies), that's fine.

These mega-millionaire pastors/preachers/televangelists are sinning by collecting such an obscenely high salary for (supposedly) doing the Lord's work.
