WOW, that sure was like pulling teeth.

So, at the risk of pushing my luck, I will ask you this. Do you honestly think that the Canucks don't really "get" why MLB mandated the Star Spangled Banner at Blue Jays games after 9/11? Or, are they really that into their Molson's?

No, I do not see this happening.

Think about it. If you went to Malaysia to live, would you be offended when the populace did their 'national pride' things? I wouldn't. I really don't see why any reasonable person would.

I've known many Mexicans. I was married to one once upon a time. Mexicans are, in general, people just like everyone else. They have the same hopes, dreams, aspirations, etc as any other 'regular' person. I promise you that the typical Mexican is not a demon who is hell-bent on denying you your way of life.

They understand why MLB instituted the practice after 9/11. They are very understanding people. They don't find it that difficult to "get" things. They have also stopped being surprised by what the Americans do, no matter how illogical.

Well, they did refuse to help us kill innocent Iraqis. And Vietnamese.

Last I checked this was still America, but there seems to be an increasing amount of so called Americans who feel differently about our rights.

A former Marine and Vietnam vet was recently told by his HOA that he could not have stickers on his vehicle with the Marines emblem or any other patriotic stickers or else it would be towed at his expense.

HOA Asks Vet to Remove Bumper Stickers (http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/news/national/dpgo_HOA_Asks_Vet_to_Remove_Bumper_fc_20090528_251 8563 - broken link)

A women in Dallas had her flag taken down from her cubicle and throw on the floor before enough people rallied and made things right. Her African supervisor felt the 3' X 5" flag was offensive!

Woman Upset After American Flag Taken Down At Work - cbs11tv.com (http://cbs11tv.com/local/patriotism.at.office.2.1020415.html - broken link)

Just two examples of anti-patriotic rhetoric taking over in favor of appeasing immigrants and lefties.

Was anybody else told that seven bumper stickers is too many? Was the woman told that she can fly the Mexican flag, but not the American flag, in accordance with the appeasement of immigants? If their civil liberties have been abused, I have no doubt that the ACLU would go to bat for them. The ACLU went to bat for Rush Limbaugh.

If a resident there was a pizza deliverer and used his own car, do you think the HOA would have been within its rights to not let him park a car there with a big flashing pizza on the roof, thus interfering with free trade? Or his 18-wheeler, or his ready-mix truck?

Will that mean I can move to Québec without the red tape?
