So In WW2 our brave American fighting forces did nothing to save the islands?

And then we turned them over to Marcos, who was not much of an improvement on the Japanese we saved them from. Our only interest in the Philippines in WWII was to keep the Japanese from having bases there.

Did you hear what I said? Our brave American fighting forces, just 40 years earlier, were brutally murdering one-fifth of all Filipinos, for the crime of resisting annexation to the USA.
