You'd marry someone you didn't love? Or force your children to do so?
Didn't say that at all. I would just not base my Marriage, or the fate of My Children, on any emotion. And "Love" is an emotion. Which is just one reason we have over 50% precent of our Marriages ending in divorse. The "love" goes away, and leaves a big unfulfilled hole. Lust may be a better term for it, in some cases.
I am so sick of hearing this from white people. NO ONE is stopping you from exploring your heritage and taking pride in it. Instead you want to whine because other people have a culture.
I have American culture. Not Italian, as My Mother was, not European,. but "American", where we are all on the same Team. Or so I was brought up to believe. If everybody wants there Own team, then it hurts Americas continuity. It divides us and makes us weaker. "United States of America." Maybe different cultures are not taught that basic idea. and that may be part of the problem.
I have never had any problem being a White guy of Celtic and Tutonic lineage. What is the big deal?
Everyone should be proud of their heritage. but we should all be Americans first. We all come from all around the world. but we are here now. and America should be Our "Home team"
Amax use my comment in the context in which it was written. We had a white person complaining about others, yet she couldn't write in her own language.
I'm really worn out on this race stuff for now. Don't think I'll ever be on the correct side of this argument, so I'll have to move on.
